Our Story

Our story begins where all the best Filipino cooking happens: at home.

Everytime we had visitors over, they would compliment our mother’s cooking. Of course, we thought they were just being courteous. But then, we joined the Chefs on Parade event in Ilocos, where seasoned chefs raved about our family recipes. This proved we had something special. It showed us that our region’s simple, yet sumptuous flavors could stand with the country’s best.

When we realized there was no restaurant in Manila specializing in Ilokano food at the time (only carinderias were offering them), it gave us the courage to put up our own. We found an old house at a prime spot in Timog, and transformed it into Victorino’s restaurant in 2013. It was named after our father, as we wanted to keep the spirit of our home’s cooking and hospitality alive in this space.
